Tina Smith is a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist. She has been practicing in the field of mental health since 1998. She has various experiences in not-for-profit from youth in-custody correctional facilities and community mental health agencies to for-profit settings providing counselling and psychotherapy.
She desires to establish an organization that supports people by meeting them exactly where they are and partnering with them on the path of change. Tina passionately believes that we are designed to heal and that it is through a relationship that people are empowered to access deep motivation within themselves to take the path of healing and recovery.
She has observed that healing root causes and not just the symptoms take time and consistency in a relationship with a trained professional. Because of the time needed to invest in this journey of healing and recovery, Tina has observed that for many clients, finances become a barrier to continuing the therapeutic process. Selah Treatment Center was birthed with the vision to provide deep-rooted treatment towards the healing and recovery journey while reducing the financial burden.
Tina believes the foundation of change comes through being established in faith, hope, and love as the primary ingredients that help to support people along any stage of their healing journey.
